A new movie just out in Hong Kong attempts to lift the lid on compensated dating. For those unfamiliar with the term compensated dating is a euphemism for paid for sex in the text generation. It’s quite common in Asia though one really needs to txt in the language of the country you are in. I have heard some people claim that it doesn’t automatically lead to prostitution but there would seem little point in engaging in it otherwise.

From what I can gather this particular movie takes the unusual step of portraying the girls as equal partners in the trade. Using men to satisfy their own lust for cash and fancy handbags just as their clients use them to relieve their nagging erections.

This at least is a refreshing change from the “girls are always victims and men are evil” school of thought.

The plot of Girl$ revolves around the fortunes of four girls; Icy (Michelle Wai), Ronnie (Bonnie Xian), Lin (Una Lin) and Gucci (Venus Wong), a 16 year-old high-schooler who wants to sell her virginity to the highest bidder. Despite different backgrounds and reasons for getting into the biz the four become good friends and provide moral support to each other as their stories unfold.

This is one of the worlds first ever porn cartoons. It was made in 1928 and documents the adventures of it’s hero, Harton, as he attempts to bury his own treasure. Inspired by the birds and the bees it seems Harton will have a go at anything.

The quality is a little rough but that is to be expected and there are some delightful moments.

No one ever took credit for making the movie but legend has it that it involved some pretty big names of the day. Acording to Wikipedia it was made in honor of the pioneering animator Winsor McCay, whose work greatly influenced Disney and is still held in high esteem in animation circles. It was originally shown at a private party.

I found this fabulous Video on Lisa Baxter’s site. Hollywood cranked out hundreds of short propaganda and public awareness campaign films back in the 40’s and 50’s.

This little gem deals with Lesbianism, which at the time was viewed as a disease rather than a lifestyle. It was written and produced by Cecil B. DeMille and Alfred Hitchcock.

For brevity the film has been edited to its opening introduction, and the crucial last five minutes of the film, which has Norman Bate’s fingerprints all over it.

It makes you wonder why they spend all that money on tedious sitcoms when they could just re-run these over and over.

Growing up hasn’t always been so easy. Young fellows struggling with puberty these days can rely on the internet for a ready supply of free porn to ease the journey.

An un-named gentleman from the city of Kosai, Japan, has been busted for violating the Waste Disposal Law. He was caught dumping his collection of a thousand porno DVDs on a vacant plot of land near the border of Aichi and Shizuoka prefectures about 5 kilometres from his home.

“Well, they were porno videos after all. I was a bit scared of dumping them near my home just in case someone saw me doing it and realized what they were.” He was quoted as saying.

Apparently one of his kids found them and his wife ordered them out of the house.
