Japanese boffin Hiroshi Ishiguro has unveiled a cute looking robot that can mimic human expressions such as laughing and smiling. Proffessor Ishiguro and his team developed the android with Japan’s robot maker Kokoro at Osaka University.
The robot is called Geminoid TMF and can smile, frown and grin. It was modeled on a young Japanese woman, who afterwards said, “I felt like I had a twin sister.” But as yet only one of them could give you an effective blow-job.
The developers expect the robot could one day used in real-life situations, such as in hospitals. But there are other situations that spring to mind. It was only back in January that we met True Companion’s Roxxxy who was the brainchild of Douglas Hines.
I think Doug and Hiroshi should pool their considerable brain-power. Roxxxy may be a goer but she isn’t a looker. Geminoid seems to have that licked, and with a little more research …
