Carousing and philandering
Let’s face it carousing and philandering go hand in hand and back in the old days Hong Kong used to be a pretty good place for both. It still is but it got better … er or worse depending on your perspective. There are now more bars to hang out in and a lot more working girls.
But back then you had a pretty small choice of beer to drink; Carlsberg, Heineken and (locally brewed) San Miguel was about it. They did the job but they weren’t great beers. Now there is a much wider range of very impressive beers, both imported from all over the world, and micro-brewed locally.
Unfortunately this means that my last attempt at carousing was highly successful but the philandering was a bit of a washout.
